Chris Pieters is the founding Director of Performance Health and Safety. He attended a boys school in South Africa with a strong focus on technology, engineering, sport and cadet force after which he qualified as a professional personal trainer in Johannesburg. He worked in the USA and UK as a sports coach and activity instructor and followed this by working in the London hospitality industry and as a Health Club Operations Manager. in Surrey. He gained membership of the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management, qualified as a Royal Life Saving Society Lifeguard Trainer and Assessor and the NEBOSH General Certificate which supported his role as area health and safety mentor and trainer. These qualifications served him well as a health and safety consultant in the corporate, facilities and education sector which ultimately led him to gaining the flagship NEBOSH National Diploma award and NEBOSH Fire Risk Assessor and Management qualification. He is a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and an Associate of the Institute of Fire Engineers. He has provided services for multination organisations, financial institutions, legal firms, charities, universities and independent schools. His services covers the full scope of health and safety provision which puts him in an ideal position to deliver complete health and safety solutions.
Lee Ford-Hunt
Trainer and Assessor
Lee is the training associate of Performance Health and Safety. He delivers lifeguard, first aid and defibrillation training and has done so for many years to a variety of organisations. His experience is immense and he has a flair for bringing out the best in his candidates. He is a member of the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualified and also provides the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) training. All lifeguards are required to do on-going training and he provides monthly refresher sessions to help lifeguards, teachers and coaches maintain their skills.
